Hesai Selected Once Again as “China Leading Autotech 50” by KPMG

On April 14th, KPMG released its 5th edition of “China Leading Autotech 50”, and Hesai Technology is selected for the fifth consecutive year.

KPMG is the world's leading professional service organization. It continues to focus on scientific and technological innovation in the automotive field, focusing on perception hardware, algorithms and 2B&2C business fields, and selects the most dynamic and potential leading enterprises. The list of “China Leading Autotech 50” attracts a wide range of attention, and every year’s selection results have been widely recognized by the industry. It is one of the most authoritative lists in automotive technology field.

KPMG pointed out that having accurate "eyes" is essential for smart cars. As lidar technology advances, the industrial chain is also becoming more mature. Domestic lidar companies have already earned their seats in the global market. As a global leader in lidar technology for autonomous driving and ADAS, Hesai has won customers spanning over 90 cities in 40 countries, including leading autonomous driving developers, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and robotics companies. Among the top 15 autonomous driving companies in DMV road test in California, 12 of them are using Hesai's lidar products¹.

Through its self-proprietary chip technology, Hesai continues to improve lidar performance, reduce lidar costs, and push lidar development onto the track of Moore's Law. Within half a year of releasing AT128, a long-range hybrid solid-state lidar, Hesai has secured millions of orders from OEMs including Li Auto, JiDu, HiPhi, and Lotus. AT128 will be mass produced at Hesai’s new manufacturing center Maxwell, which will commence operation in 2022 with a planned capacity of over 1 million units per year.

Hesai is also a pioneer in the field of lidar safety, launching the world's first lidar to achieve  ISO 26262 ASIL B functional safety certification. Furthermore, Hesai as the Chair, Baidu as the Co-chair, with dozens of industry-leading companies and institutions, have formed the National Standards² Drafting Committee.
