We seek a highly skilled and motivated Senior Resident Engineer with a solid technical background to contribute to our cutting-edge product development initiatives and program management efforts. This pivotal role involves collaboration with both the manufacturing industry and Hesai's high technology-driven product teams, including OEMs. The Senior Resident Engineer will be responsible for on-site support, overseeing part releases to OEM vehicle teams, and ensuring seamless integration of components from the development phase to product launch and quality control. This multifaceted position demands excellent troubleshooting skills to address integration and system issues, coupled with effective communication and exceptional time management abilities. As a Sr. Resident Engineer, you will lead critical projects and rapidly resolve new development and manufacturing challenges.
Develop LIDAR Design Proposals to optimize Hesai's manufacturing processes.
Provide support for Vehicle Integration activities, encompassing packaging assessments and compartment integration meetings. Contribute design solutions to mitigate vehicle packaging and interface conflicts.
Manage engineering change processes to ensure smooth transitions.
Foster effective communication of design particulars between Hesai's engineering team and OEM Engineering teams.
Contribute to both Prototype and Production Launch build events.
Play a pivotal role in troubleshooting activities, conducting thorough root cause analyses, and formulating effective solutions.
Offer on-site OEM support, addressing manufacturing and technical concerns by collaborating with R&D and OEM stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with OEM vehicle teams, offering support for development activities including module retrofitting, validation rides, and barrier testing.
Cultivate and nurture customer OEM relationships, spanning both product and vehicle teams.
Draft work orders for part releases and meticulously document engineering changes for assigned programs.
Develop and oversee vehicle program milestones, potentially across multiple programs.
Act as a bridge between Product and Vehicle Team meetings, facilitating seamless coordination.
Create and manage calibration files for development and production releases in alignment with vehicle requirements.
Take charge of leading high-profile programs that are critical to the organization's success.
